AI handles volume. A human signs every word. Nothing is published that can't be traced to an open source.
Continuous monitoring of Persian and English open sources: news, public filings, app marketplaces, hiring activity, and official announcements.
AI models process the daily feed, surfacing candidate signals and filtering noise across companies and sectors.
Every signal is human-reviewed before publication. Each carries a source link. No anonymous claims, no unverifiable numbers.
Operator judgment turns verified signals into analysis: what it means, who it affects, and what to watch next.
IDEI (Iran Digital Economy Insights) exists to close a gap: there is no consistent, high-quality, English-language window into one of the most misunderstood digital economies in the world: 85+ million people, a super-app ecosystem built under sanctions, and a startup scene that solves problems most markets never face.
IDEI is founded and written by Mehdi Pirooznia, a Danish-Iranian operator who has spent fifteen years building inside this ecosystem: director at Rocket Internet's Bamilo (Iran's first online marketplace), founder of Wego.com's Iran operation, and international expansion director at Digikala Group. The analysis is his; the standard is documentary.
IDEI covers business, technology, and markets. It does not cover politics or security topics, and publishes only what open sources support.
